Happy Bento B110 1/3/13 smoke salmon triple deck

It's Friday! After a gd sleep last night, I'm finally feeling better. The BiG Boy (aka my hubbie) was missing my bento for a bit as I didn't do much bento this week;) Rummage through my fridge and saw a pack of smoked salmon, thus smoke salmon triple deck :) It's a good source of Omega-3.

Have a good weekend :)

Happy Bento B109 27/2/13 Winnie and his pot of gold

I've been dying to use my Winnie the Pooh cutters but I've got no time to get decorative gel or make colored egg sheets. Haiz, rather than waiting, I've decided to go ahead and do it without those colours and egg sheets.
Though they look a bit plain, I can visualize them when there's colours.. nice!

Happy Bento B106 19/2/13 flower sausage bento

Today, I created a new design of flower bento by chance! It turned out to be quite pretty. Do note that the sausages gotta be grilled/baked/fried first before you wrap them.

sausage flower (new design)

ingredients
2 long sausages (can be cocktail style, chicken or pork)
bread slices

Tools
cutting board
Sharp knife
sushi mat
cling wrap
Chopsticks
Cookie cutter (smallest size that can fit into a sausage)

Procedures
1. wash the sausages.
2. if you are using those long sausages, cut each sausage into three parts.
3. using a cookie cutter, press into each sausage thirds.
4. use a knife and make slits at the sides of sausage surrounding the cut out shaped.
5. cook the sausage and let it cool. sausage flower is ready! (For my case, I grilled them for abt 10 mins. )
6. for each slice of bread, cut into into 4 strips long. (Length as per the side of a square loaf)
7. wrap a sushi mat with cling wrap, Put a strip of bread onto it.
8. in the middle of the bread strip, put a sausage flower.
9. bring one side of the bread strip to wrap around the sausage flower. Use the mat to roll and press firm. Do the same for the other side of bread strip. (Refer to the attached pics).
10. finally the new design of bread flower is done.

Time flies! Last week was cny, this week it's over! As there's some leftover goodies from cny, I decided to put them together into a bento for hubbie.

In the box, there's cashew nuts (he specifically wants this in, keke), kueh bangkit, half a Fuji apple and a mandarin orange. Not forgetting the multivitamin box.

Happy Bento B104 6/2/13 Winnie, tigger and friends

I'm feeling much better after resting throughout the night :) As such, my mood is happier and thus, I decided to do a cheerful bento. Since I haven't had Disney characters in my bento for sometime, I decided to incoporate Winnie and tigger into my bento.

Happy Bento B103 4/2/13 reunion dinner

CNY is round the corner and I'm not exactly in the mood for it as yet. At the same time, I wasn't feeling too well either. Still, I decided to do a simple reunion dinner bento :)

The multivitamins pots serve as a hotpot for the reunion dinner. Family of four (ham and cheese sammies) is sitting around it for their reunion dinner.
