A friend of mine is opening a baking and cooking school and we are being invited to her opening ceremony :) Being a nice friend of mine, I'm dedicating this bento to her and may her business prosper :)

Happy Bento B117 25/3/13 Strawberry munchkin with Easter bunnies

We had a birthday celebration at my parents' and my parents packed some Ang Ku kueh (red inverted come shaped kueh with chewy skin and mung bean paste) and red eggs. I decided to use this to make an Easter bento for the big boy aka my hubbie :)

For the strawberry munchkin, I used black sesame seeds for the head, nori for the eyes and mouth :) The Easter bunnies are punch out nori on the ang ku kuehs. The green barangs around the Ang Ku kueh serves as a decoration as well as make it easy to handle.

I suddenly had the idea of waffles sandwiches played in my mind last night, I quickly jotted it down for this morning's breakfast:)

Waffles sandwiches is filled with Romanian lettuces and marinated salmon

Haven't been doing bentos the past three days as was really tired and busy. Finally managed to pack waffles, one of my to-do items! But no time to deco!! Oh well..

I didn't make the pancakes myself this time. Instead I merely heat up ready made ones.

I'm glad that my hubbie is recovering well :) To start him up, I'm going soft on his stomach, thus only have waffles sticks, fruits, multivitamins and some candies to keep his spirit up for the day :)

Happy Bento B112 6/3/13

I've finally made a bento snack box for myself. But due to time constraint, there's no decorations to it. My hubbie was worried that I'll not pack nutritious bento for myself and hence insist of checking it before I cover the lid keke :) Guess he's being protective and wants me to eat well :) very sweet of him.

The weather is changing badly and many people are sick. The big boy aka my hubbie, was having fever yesterday and felt unwell. Finally he is better today, thus doing a cheery bento to lighten the mood :)
